Evidence: Discretionary commission disclosure, agreement dates within review scope.
Diesel Emissions
Stage 3 returns Euro stage and real-world NOx via the Identity EM Code lookup. Filter against the affected makes and date windows your firm targets.
Evidence: Confirmed diesel, Euro 5 or 6, NOx exceeding type-approval limits.
Write-Off Underpayment
Stage 4 surfaces write-off and salvage flags. A used vehicle valuation, fired only on flagged records, gives the law firm the value-at-write-off baseline.
Evidence: Total-loss register entry, salvage destination, contemporaneous valuation.
Ex-Taxi Mis-Sold
The provenance bundle includes a taxi history check. 75% of taxi-related complaints reaching the FOS in our reference dataset were upheld in the consumer's favour.
Evidence: Prior taxi or private hire registration, undisclosed at point of sale.
EV Range Mis-Sold
Two routes to a claim. The advertised range at point of sale, drawn from previous-ads data, is the basis for misrepresentation claims under the Consumer Rights Act. The second route applies where the battery has since degraded: if the dealer cannot evidence with a contemporaneous battery certificate that the fault was not present or emerging at the date of sale, the FOS has consistently upheld claims and returned the full cost of the vehicle.
Evidence: Confirmed EV/PHEV, advertised range at point of sale, and the absence of a battery certificate to rebut the claim. 80% upheld rate at FOS, 2026 YTD.
